The 2008 vintage produced beautifully balanced fruit, which resulted in exceptional aromas and flavour. The Baumé reached 14.1 degrees before harvest. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night and delivered to the winery ready for crushing, draining and settling before fermentation.
Rich, fertile, sandy loam and dark bisque soils provide ideal growing opportunities for vines. The Barossa has a Mediterranean climate, warm summers and cold winters which offer ideal viticultural conditions.
This single vineyard Viognier is cool fermented to retain the crisp fresh varietal character. The wine displays exquisite hints of apricot and oranges. Crisp clean and tantalizing, it retains fresh layered tropical flavours on the palate with a hint of honey and balanced structure for continued enjoyment.
